Families are encouraged to explore the following organizations, who are committed to helping remove financial barriers to youth participation in sports.

"Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities."

"Ontario Growing Up Through Sports offers financial assistance to low-income families across communities in Ontario. Ontario Growing Up Through Sports believes that no matter the situation at home, all kids should be able to enjoy what playing sports has to offer in their local communities."

" We foresee an Ontario where ALL children and youth can access music and sports programs free of financial barriers of any kind. We strive to make this vision a reality.
Our goal is to remove financial barriers to success in order to level the playing field and help develop confident, engaged, and active citizens that possess a healthy self-image, resiliency, and the skills requisite for leadership. "

The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc supports youth participation in local recreation programs by offering a subsidy program to assist with registration costs.
With the assistance of the County of Middlesex, the "Can I Play Too?" Program supports programs offered in Strathroy-Caradoc by paying up to 50% of registration costs for children of families in financial need.

"The reality is that cost keeps 1 in 2 Canadian kids out of organized sport. KidSport provides grants to help cover those costs to ensure that no kid is ever left watching from the sidelines.
KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under."
